Blog EntryPsalm 77Feb 25, '08 6:40 AM
for everyone

"I cried out to God with my voice-- To God with my voice; And He gave ear to me. In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; My soul refused to be comforted. I remembered God, and was troubled; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed.

You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak. I have considered the days of old, The years of ancient times. I call to remembrance my song in the night; I meditate within my heart, And my spirit makes diligent search.

Will the Lord cast off forever? And will He be favorable no more? Has His mercy ceased forever? Has His promise failed forevermore? Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies? And I said, "This is my anguish; But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High."  -- Psalm 77

The Lord knows =)

Or because of love (the desire to be loved and to love) / Met your self-esteem needs / Met your self-actualization needs?

Are you truly happy?

Blog EntryA Student's PrayerMar 29, '07 5:32 AM
for everyone

Lord grant me a quiet heart before exams begin. Lead me to use my leisure hours to invigorate my power. My minds from daydreams liberate. Give me the will to concentrate from all distractions set me free. That in my studies i may be a student with a sole fulfillment to make my work a sacrament.

From my faint heart in love expel all failures and fears that therein dwell. And from my pillow drives away all darkness forebodings of the day. Help me in faith to rest so deep that i may have untroubled sleep. While notes and lectures i prepare. May i not lose my zeal in prayers.

And may i not forget to look for guidance in thy book. And may i ever be grateful be to all who daily pray for me. While for myself i intercede for other students too i plead. So may exams find each one alert in heart and mind. Thus inward joy and peace possessing. May exams prove a source of blessing.

Blog EntryPrayer For A Productive DayMar 29, '07 5:30 AM
for everyone

Heavenly Father, my prayer to You this morning is that I charge right into this new day with joy and enthusiasm for the tasks that lie ahead. Help me to understand that today is all that I really have since tomorrow is promised to no one. Fill my heart with vitality so that I may fully accomplish all of today's works and deeds.

Let me not waste a moment of this precious new day fretting about yesterday's misfortunes and problems. Instead, let me do wonderful things with these 24 hours of life that lie ahead. And let all the good that I do today be my way of demonstrating my love for You.

Help me to understand that all of life's goals are achieved only through action. Therefore, let the actions I take today move me closer to my goals. I will put off until tomorrow that which never should be done at all.

I refuse to let negative thoughts and distractions deter me from my work and I will not allow unproductive actions to steal the precious gift of time that You are granting me this day.

Father, dwell in my heart throughout this day just as You lived in the heart of Your Son Yahshua (Jesus) when He walked on this earth. For I know I can do all things with God in me.

Blog EntrySly Ride 2007Dec 29, '06 7:00 AM
for everyone

Hey dudes and dudettes! If you have a passion for cycling and own a road bikey... here's something for you!

But.. if you're cash strapped and don't own a roadie (like me), get your MTB outta your house and do let me know if you're up for it.

Click here for photos of Sly Ride 2006

Dear TriBuds

TriFam is participating in the annual bike event on 1st January 2007 (Public Holiday) in the name of Sylvester Ang who passed away on Christmas Eve 2004.

This is a mark of respect and remembrance to our dear member whose love for sports and especially cycling, knew no boundaries.

It is also to create awareness for drivers to be patient and keep the road safe for cyclists on the road.

Sylvester was a passionate and committed individual. Those who knew him personally would tell you that he never once missed his riding sessions with any of his different groups of sports enthusiasts and friends. With the same drive, he fought hard for his life and inspired many. His fighting spirit serves as a reminder that we should never give up on what needs to be done for the greater good of the cycling community i.e. to continue to ride safely and increase awareness on road safety.

If you would like to honour the memory of someone who shared the same passion, join us for a special ride to remember our friend, Sylvester Ang.

Your support for this event will help in many ways. The bigger the group the greater the awareness.

Thank you and we look forward to see you there.

Team TriFam
